Resilience. The word that is bandied around like it's going out of fashion. On one hand, it seems a bit cliche. Common. Like a catchphrase. But on the other hand, it seems logical to believe that it is bandied around for a reason. And that reason is that it is in fact an important personal quality. An essential one in fact, especially if we want to step outside of our comfort zone on occasion, take small risks or try new things. Because after all, life is long and life will deal us hard blows when we're the sort of people who don't live under rocks.
How do you define success? This question is so incredibly important to ask yourself when you set out on any pursuit. What is the end goal? What are you aiming for? The goal posts are allowed to shift but it is essential to know where you're headed...
Some people think that artists simply float along, do not plan a thing and just wait and see what the universe brings them in terms of opportunities. This image though couldn't be further from the truth. Professional artists are very busy people and the only way to survive such busyness is to set goals, work towards them and to be incredibly organised.
